Rig Church Edmonton is a life-giving church where you can come as you are, find real community, and grow in your faith. We’re all about doing life together, supporting one another, and creating a space where people feel seen and valued. Our goal is to help you live a life directed by God and walk confidently in the purpose He has for you.
Our Pastors
Samuel & LaToya Kanza
We’re Samuel and LaToya — pastors, parents, and people who love God deeply but also love to laugh, eat good food, and enjoy life.
Before Edmonton, we spent years pastoring in Ottawa, building community, feeding hundreds of families, and running programs for youth. Our heart has always been to see people healed, restored, and empowered to live transformed lives.
We later completed ministerial training under the leadership of Tomi and Tahmar Arayomi, both in Canada and at Rig University in Houston. Today, we have the honour of leading Rig Church Edmonton; a place where faith feels real, family feels supported, and people feel seen.

LaToya’s favourite meal: Jamaican oxtail with rice (and please… extra gravy).
Samuel’s favourite meal: Any super meaty pizza with pineapple — yes, pineapple belongs on pizza.
We have three amazing kids Zion Grace, Elijah, and Levi who keep us laughing and remind us daily why building strong families matters.
We love late-night YouTube sessions, music blasting road trips, and finding Edmonton’s best steak & sushi spots.
We’re huge believers in community whether that looks like prayer, food, or fun creative events.

Our Founders
Tomi & Tahmar Arayomi
Apostle Tomi has been recognized for his national and personal prophetic accuracy. Apostle Tomi is a governmental prophet and has had the privilege of consulting prophetically with leaders of nations in their homes at the United Nations and in Parliament.
In 2019, a few months before the world went into lockdown, Tomi was led by the Lord to relaunch RIG Nation which he had originally founded in 2007. Rig stands for Restoring Issachar’s Generation, a mission based on 1 Chronicles 12:32: “The sons of Issachar who had an understanding of the times to know what Israel ought to do.” The ministry’s vision is to restore the apostolic and prophetic ministry back into the Body of Christ and to equip this generation to be in a position and condition for use by God.
In April 2020, Tomi launched Pioneers Church as an online church which together with other prophetic training and social commentary programmes, has attracted an international audience of over 100,000 subscribers on Rig Nation’s YouTube channel. During the lockdown, Tomi filmed over 100 training videos which now form the basis of the Rig Nation’s School of Apostles and Prophets and in June 2021, launched apostolic centers in London and Lagos, and most recently the HQ in the USA. Tomi and his wife Tahmar currently reside in Houston, TX.
