Our Pastors
Samuel & LaToya Kanza
We’re Samuel and LaToya — pastors, parents, and people who love God deeply but also love to laugh, eat good food, and enjoy life.
Before Edmonton, we spent years pastoring in Ottawa, building community, feeding hundreds of families, and running programs for youth. Our heart has always been to see people healed, restored, and empowered to live transformed lives.
We later completed ministerial training under the leadership of Tomi and Tahmar Arayomi, both in Canada and at RIG University in Houston. Today, we have the honour of leading RIG Church Edmonton; a place where faith feels real, family feels supported, and people feel seen.
A Few Fun Facts About Us
LaToya’s favourite meal: Jamaican oxtail with rice (and please… extra gravy).
Samuel’s favourite meal: Any super meaty pizza with pineapple — yes, pineapple belongs on pizza.
We have three amazing kids Zion Grace, Elijah, and Levi who keep us laughing and remind us daily why building strong families matters.
We love late-night YouTube sessions, music blasting road trips, and finding Edmonton’s best steak & sushi spots.
We’re huge believers in community whether that looks like prayer, food, or fun creative events.
We’re not perfect, just passionate.
